Tuition fee will be fully refunded if the visa is not issued to the student. Tuition fee deposit will be kept in a Trust Account by the University’s Lawyer until the visa is issued to the student.

Any student who is not a citizen or permanent resident of USA or Canada will be considered an international student. Same oneyear tuition fee rule is applicable to them also.

Nucleus University School of Medicine is an accredited learning institution charted by the Government of Aruba. University is bound by strict regulations and laws of the country.

After the completion of first year at the university, students will be required to pay per semester. Tuition fees must be submitted two weeks before the beginning of the semester.

There is a 100 USD application fee, for processing.

After you fill out the online application along with all the requested documents, you will receive an acknowledgement email immediately after the submittal. You will be contacted within a week if any additional information or document are required. Admission offer decision will be made within a week. Rejection or Acceptance letter will be issued to the student via Email.

All materials and tools for the purpose of medical learning will be provided by the University. Books are students’ responsibility to buy. Nowadays, all medical books are available in the electronic format and not necessary to carry around large text-books.

Students living in Aruba under student visa will not be permitted to work on the island.

You will not have enough hours in a day to work during your clinical rotations in the USA and student visa holders will not be permitted to work in the USA.

Depending on the state of your residency, first year resident can make between $65,000 to $80,000 USD per year.

After the completion of your clinical rotation, you will need to return to the country of origin. When you apply for residency, hospital will sponsor you to receive H1B visa for the USA.

Once you are in the USA on H1B visa during your residency, you will be eligible to apply for the green card.

While you are a student at the University, you can begin the Permanent Resident application process for Canada. By the time you graduate, you might be eligible to immigrate to Canada.

All our clinical rotations will be conducted in ACGME (Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited hospital facilities. Johns Hopkins Hospital permits only elective clinical rotations at their facility. Which would be the fourth year of the University’s curriculum. Students must have completed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK before commencing this elective.

Once you have graduated from NUSOM you can apply for residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. We do not guarantee residency.

University will be listed with the World Directory of Medical Schools. It is a requirement of most countries’ Medical Council that the school must be listed. You can verify that with your own country’s requirements with your Medical Council.

Housing secretary will be awaiting your arrival at the airport and will escort you to your accommodation.

Your university should be listed on the World Directory of Medical Schools. Official transcript must be in English or translated to English. We will assess and give credit to all completed medical courses and rotations on individual basis.

Yes. But you are required complete a semester of Introduction to Professional English before beginning Medical Studies. If your English language is not up to par or if you haven’t completed your secondary school in English

If you have completed your IELTS or TOEFL, you can submit your results. We will also consider your secondary school education in English.

If you have 2 or more siblings, you will be eligible for 50 percent discount on your Basic Sciences tuition fee.

Currently we offer a referral fee of $1000 USD per student for international students.

Only elective clinical rotations can be done in Canada. Core clinical rotations can only be done in the USA.

You have to apply for Canadian Medical Residency through carms.ca, once you have graduated from NOSUM. Residency is not guaranteed either in USA or Canada.

We can help you with the Residency application process, but it is not guaranteed.

You will graduate with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Nucleus University School of Medicine, Aruba.

You will have to submit a curriculum vitae with your residency application. In that document you can record all the hospitals you have completed the clinical rotation at. University will also send graduate report to the residency program and all your clinical rotations will be listed on it.

We will assess all post-secondary credits on individual basis. But if you have completed a degree in biological sciences, you might be eligible for the 4-year MD degree program.

Currently our lowest average secondary school percentage is 70. But we consider many other factors other than the score, including extra-curricular activities, personal essay and CV.
