Application Process

for the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Program

Overview

Embarking on your journey to becoming a dental professional at Nucleus University School of Dentistry Aruba (NUSOD) begins with a comprehensive application process designed to ensure that candidates are well-suited for the rigors and rewards of our program. Below are the steps to guide you through applying to the DDS program.

Step 1: Review Admission Requirements

Before beginning your application, thoroughly review the admission requirements to ensure you meet the necessary academic and prerequisite criteria. This includes completion of a bachelor's or pre-dental program, and while the Dental Admission Test (DAT) is not mandatory, it is recommended.

Step 2: Prepare Your Application Materials

Gather all required documentation, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and any optional materials like DAT scores. Ensure your personal statement clearly articulates your interest in dentistry, your career goals, and what makes you a unique candidate for NUSOD.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

Visit nusom.org to access our online application portal to start your application. Fill out all required fields with your personal and educational information, following the instructions provided on the portal.

Step 4: Submit Supporting Documents

Upload all necessary documents directly through the application portal. This includes your academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and any additional items that support your application. Ensure files are in the correct format as specified by the application instructions.

Step 5: Review and Submit

Before submitting your application, review all entries and attachments for accuracy and completeness. Once satisfied, submit your application by the specified deadline. Note that applications cannot be altered once submitted, so thorough review is crucial.

Step 6: Track Your Application Status

After submission, you can track the status of your application through the same online portal. You will receive notifications regarding any updates or if additional information is required.

Step 7: Interview (If Applicable)

Selected candidates may be invited for an interview as part of the admissions process. This is an opportunity for the admissions committee to know you better and for you to ask questions about the program and the university.

Step 8: Acceptance and Enrollment

If accepted into the DDS program, you will receive an offer letter with details on how to accept your offer and complete your enrollment. This may include submitting additional documents, fulfilling health and immunization requirements, and attending an orientation program.
